We are excited to announce the winners for our inaugural  Student Educational Travel Initiative!

This year, we’ve partnered with Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve. We’ll be sending four local students on an all-expense-paid trip to the ranch in New Mexico so they can explore careers in travel and hospitality while experiencing the award winning reserve.

Participating students, accompanied by a chaperone, will engage in meetings with Vermejo staff and enjoy experiences on the 558,000-acre reserve to learn about large landscape conservation efforts and purpose-driven careers in hospitality.

Conservation-forward Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve was chosen as the inaugural destination for its inspiring ethos of being more than just a resort destination. “Vermejo has a natural allure for those who, through their work, choose to make a difference in the world, said Theresa King, General Manager for Vermejo. “We are excited to showcase the wide variety of career opportunities available at a unique property like this, from positions in the culinary and guest services departments to jobs operating actively within the environment such as guiding and natural resources.”

We thank all of the applicants for their participation and are excited for this group to to take the inaugural adventure!
