Got a yen to visit somewhere exotic? But, hating the thought of facing the airline craziness? Sometimes we don’t see the forest for the trees! Let us point out some close by but far away choices we have! People will be coming from far away to visit the jewels we have right here among us! Call or email us for all the details!
Lindblad National Geographic Expeditions is sailing the East Coast of the USA! These will be sailing the intracoastal waters. We will even have 3 departures to/from Amelia Island! Board the Sea Lion right here at our port on Amelia Island and explore the barrier islands from Cumberland to Jekyll to Sapelo, Ossabaw, Turtle and Daufuskie Island.
You will explore by zodiac, keyak, walking tours all with world class naturalists and culturalists as guides. You can experience the Gullah-Gechee culture, wonderful wildlife and birding opportunities, walking tours of Savannah, Charleston, Brunswick and more. Kayak through the marsh streams with your staff of naturalists to guide and educate you! People are coming from all over the world to make this trip and you won’t get near an airport! We have a special group departure planned for April 8, which will include transportation back to Amelia from Charleston and some special surprises.
The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes, Orlando is a little known jewel in the Orlando area. While you could easily visit the Orlando Parks while there, this property offers Florida recreation at its finest! Kayaking, eco-tours, fly fishing with instruction from beginner to advanced, sunrise safari, mountain bike trail and my favorite- falconry, are all offered on property! The cuisine is top of the line from 5 star, farm to table and casual dining. The pool area is tops and there is a lazy river experience available at the adjacent Marriott. There is of course great golf available on property. The Mall at Millenia, Fashion Square Mall and Florida Mall are all near by for those prone to shopping pleasures! Oh, and did I mention they have world class luxury residential accommodations as well as rooms and suites?
Natural Habitat, for those preferring land based adventure, has a brand new offering- FLORIDA NATURE SAFARI! Beginning in Ft Meyers and visiting Sanibel Island for the J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge/ Big Cypress National Preserve, then on to Ten Thousand Islands, then Everglades National Park, Key Largo for Biscayne National Park, Key West for Deer Park Refuge and a very unique dolphin watch cruise, followed by a seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park. There are 11 departures between Jan 7, and May 5, 2023. Again, booking early is essential as there are only 14 max per departure!
Board the Ocean Voyager for 12 days of ocean cruising to explore the East Coast from Jacksonville up as far as Charleston and Beaufort then plunging down as far as Freeport Bahamas before bringing guests back to disembark on Amelia Island. These 12 day itineraries start on Nov 3, 2022, and continue until April 17, 2023. There are also two departures from Savannah to Halifax for 17 days. There is even a Christmas/New Years sailing starting December 23, from Jacksonville.
