Sarah’s Saturday Secrets: May 17, 2020

Sarah Adams - Wallace Pierson Travel Disney Specialist

Welcome to the first ever monthly edition of Sarah’s Saturday Secrets! I’m excited to share some of my favorite Disney tips in anticipation of the re-opening of Walt Disney World!

Last Sunday was all about mom. So here’s a little inspiration for a Disney outing with your favorite mom, grandmother, step-mom, aunt, or a dear friend.
Two of the newest additions to the Disney resort portfolio have fabulous rooftop options to enjoy a drink or small bite. At Coronado Springs’ Gran Destino Tower, Dahlia has lovely indoor and outdoor seating and fireworks views nightly. At the Riviera Resort, wonderful views and meals can be found at Topolino’s Terrace, which serves a character breakfast, as well as an upscale dinner.
Tea time can be a relaxing part of your next Disney vacation. The Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian has tea service each afternoon. The Rose and Crown, in the UK pavilion at Epcot, has a tea tasting several mornings a week.
Disney Springs is full of wonderful dining and shopping options. Get a reservation at Morimoto Asia or Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. Or enjoy the view from the rooftop bar at the Coca Cola Store after you’ve enjoyed a little retail therapy.

Lounges are a great way to enjoy a meal at Walt Disney World without a reservation. Many lounges serve light food, and some offer the full menu from an adjacent restaurant. A favorite of mine is Geyser Point, on the water at the Wilderness Lodge. Another hidden gem is the Ale and Compass Lounge, located in the Yacht Club Resort. I hope this inspires you to look into a new place to take mom! Please let me know when you’d like to book your next getaway to Walt Disney World. With so many fantastic options, you and the mom in your life are sure to find a new favorite place to make memories!
